Got a shipment today!
2000 rounds of ammo. 1000 rounds of Russian .223 and 1000 rounds of Spanish 9mm. The Russian .223 is good cheap plinking ammo. Definitely not match grade, but it will explode a milk jug or a watermelon well enough. The 9mm will do nicely for the target league I am in. The shooting sports I participate in are, plinking, bullseye, pins, skeet and clays.

1. what is the difference between skeets and clays?
mostly ignorant about shooting sports. Ain't they both little clay pot holders?

Thanks.

3. The difference is how the birds (clay pigeons) are thrown.
In skeet. You move around a half circle with a house on each end that throws the clays the exact same way every time. In sporting clays, you are out in the woods and the traps (the little machines that throw the clays) are hidden. Clays more accurately represents what you might see on a hunting trip, and has a much greater variety of targets. It is also good exercise, as you have to walk a great distance from station to station while carrying a heavy shotgun and a ton of ammunition.

11. None, guns terrify me.
I don't want to ban guns, but I don't want to be around them either. My husband has two hunting guns left to him by his grandfather, but the shells are kept in the garage.

But my father uses it to help keep him sharp. Do you have any experience with it?

12. I'm sure to know to clean your pieces like hell after shooting this stuff
The primers on import and surplus rounds are usually corrosive as all get-out -- swab your barrels with Hoppes like your life depends on it!

BTW, an excellent small-caliber target is Ritz Crackers. They are orange and easy to sight, interestingly kinetic when hit, and 100% biodegradable.

Happy and safe plinking!

13. Where is your target league?
I also shoot league but found I needed .45 ACP sized holes to keep up with everyone else. I typically never buy cheap foreign ammo (corrosive primers, laquered shells, etc) and instead reload my own.
