how should I backup my computer?
I can add another drive, but, if the PC is on fire or stolen, both drives go with it.

any suggestions for external drives that backup EVERYTHING (like a ghost backup)?

1. Punch cards!
:+

Seriously, though, hard drives are getting cheaper and cheaper all the time. Do you have a firewire card in your computer? That's the way to go, imho.

12. Backup boot?
I'm not an expert, but I think you can only have one hard drive designated as a boot drive.

I use a firewire drive. There's drive backup software available, but I just find and copy all my docs every month or so. I just assume that if anything happens, I'd have to reinstall my applications anyway.

5. Can you photo shop a picture of Bush
Take the picture of the Martian in the movie Mars Attacks that has the red velvet underwear on and put Bush's head on it.

11. Puch cards! ROTFLMAO
As late as 1986 GM was still using them.
Back up on CD, DVD and/or a tape drive.
For data only, the are some ISPs provide back-up virtual disks for a fee.

7. Actually, I do it kinda weird......
I dual boot my computer now....
I have XP Pro on C: and D:
I use c: for my regular operating system (everyday stuff)
I use D: to Transfer C Drive to another Hard-Drive that I add (via cable)
when I want to backup stuff.
When I'm done, I take the Hard drive that I temporally installed and stick it in a drawer.

10. Grab a gun, or a knife. Snarl, and say, " I got your back, computer."
Try to do it like Clint Eastwood.
