What would you do the next time you were tempted to respond to one of their threads?

BTW, this is not calling out. This has happened to me recently, and I am just really curious.

Could be they have you on ignore.

Could be there's nothing for them to respond to.

Could be they want to rile you.

Could be something else.

Though I can say that if I start a thread, I try to make sure I respond to every one who took the time to respond to me. It seems like polite etiquette to me.

There are times that I reply to an OP knowing full well that I'm going to be one of the few posts ignored. :shrug: Sometimes I don't bother. It depends on my mood.

If you mean.. the OP replies to all but you (repeatedly).

I notice it, think a sec, then by the time I have a sip of coffee I forget it.

I remember the good people easy enough. It's hard for me to keep up with who is gonna ignore me so I just go about posting normally.

I try hard to reply to all who respond in a thread I started. The only time I won't usually is if its like "Thursday Whats for Dinner" someone kicked 3 days later. Well.. or any that hat a heated argument in.

I usually respond only to the dumbest, most inane OPs. When I agree with the OP, I read through the responding posts, but I don't add my agreeing comments, if it just seems redundant. Of course this really only applies to GD & GDP...here in the Lounge I'm a sucker for the guys (they know who they are)...

47. The only time I can think of this happening was more than 2 years ago.

I'm sure it's happened before, but I never really notice these things much. The one time I did, where I saw a very intentional non-reply to me in a long list of replies, was when there was a situation that happened (or really, could have happened, but didn't) in real life and the non-replying person was probably kind of ticked off at me because of it. However, I didn't have full knowledge of what was actually going on in their status when the could've situation took place. Everyone acted ultimately in an ethical manner, so all turned out well. I don't think with any dire, lasting results. And if I'm vague, it's for a reason. :D

We tend to take stuff personally when it's not and when it's really not important. Other people have this whole other thing going on that has little to do with us.
