Please wake me up, I'm having a NIGHTMARE....

I get at least one a week (shows how stable I am).

Last week's jewel has replayed twice, one of them last night.

Naked in public type. Not my worst, but in the top ten. Used to get them all the time when young; explains the lingering night terrors, fear of the dark and death phobia.

What scares you in the dark?

1. My wife has them a lot, I can't remember the last I had

She has bridge nightmares, stuck in foreign airport nightmares, and showing up for exams unprepared nightmares.

2. I have lots of recuring nightmares.

1) Naked in public, like you;
2) I'm back in school, I have an exam, and I know nothing;
3) I need to go up a steep street, and it's so steep I can't stand up and I have to fall fat on the pavement and crawl. And I'm unable to do even that;

And since I became a father, another one joined the club: I lose my daughter. :scared:

3. I have alot of zombie and "plague" dreams.

Also alot where I'm trying to escape something, and I can't run. Ick!

4. My nightmares (at least the ones I remember) are mostly about

something awful happening to my little boy and me being helpless and unable to save him. One time I dreamed we were visiting Hawaii, walking on cooled lava next to a volcano that "gushes" a river of lava constantly. Suddenly the piece of cooled lava that my son was walking on broke off and started floating away down a river of lava, and I couldn't reach him, couldn't rescue him. Then his little lava "boat" started to disintegrate; he was screaming for me, begging me to help him, so I jumped right into the lava, grabbed him and threw him back onto safe ground, but I could feel my legs on fire, in agony, and I knew there was no way to get back out myself. I woke up absolutely frantic and hysterical, and cried for an hour afterward. Worst. Nightmare. EVER.
