I just bought a copy of the last ever issue of Punk Planet.
Edited on Sun Jul-08-07 09:48 PM by swag
I'm not sure why. I never liked Punk Planet too much. Any zines or music I sent to them for review just were never punk enough for their reviewers, even though I invented all that punk shit, as everybody know.

And now they is gone.

1. You invented punk?
I didn't know you were the singer from Green Day!

6. I wish I had subscribed for the singles.
"I Killed Christgau with my Big Fuckin' Dick" by Sonic Youth, for one.

Were they flexidiscs or vinyl? Do you remember?

7. I think they were vinyl....I preferred the experience of buying the issues at the record...
store. And, of course,"I preferred the experience of buying the issues at the record store" means "grab and stick inside my jacket when no one is looking"

I agree that it would great to have some of those 45s. Maybe FE will issue a compilation some day.

14. Oh, Trouser Press had Flexidiscs.
And DEVO interviewing William Burroughs.

Superior to Crawdaddy, even.

17. I unloaded some issues on Ebay a couple of years ago...
after re-reading them a few times, of course.
But they'll have to pry my copies of Rock Scene from my cold dead fingers

Probably an unwise purchase.

12. Keep it in the plastic baggie
if you take it out, it's no longer a collectible.

13. Huh. I liked that 'zine for about two years in the late '90s.
As one who's worked for more than one rag that's bitten it, I'll try mightily to refrain from grave-dancing. Sorry they didn't review your cultural produce, though.

16. Funny, I usually dance on the graves of the rags I've written for that have
bitten it.

I admire your decency, though I cannot hope to emulate it.
