3. Well, it looks like they are loaded.
It's not my check. I just found it on the internets. :P

I was told by a math genius that the check is equal to about a dollar, which makes it even funnier.

10. Rich in the most important ways!
A husband that loves me, a kitty that bitches at me to feed him all the time, wonderful family, and great friends both real and virtual.

Money is worthless without love and happiness.

15. It's equal to 2/10 of a cent minus an infinitesimal
0.002 is 2/10 of a cent

e^(i*pi) is -1

the summation limit is 1 (it never reaches one: it is infinitesimally below 1)

Thus, the check is worth 0.002-dx dollars, where dx is the infinitesimal.

8. Right!
Too bad it didn't have a little spy cam on it. We would have all gotten a real laugh!

I'm pretty good. I need to go to bed soon because I have to get up and go get my passport tomorrow. Well, apply for it anyway. But sleep never sounds good until I'm exhausted, and I'm not yet. x(

13. Thank you.
I hope they get it to us in a timely fashion. I'm not holding my breath because I will lose consciousness, pass out and hit my head on something, only to be breathing again with a head injury and no passport.

I have so much faith in government. :eyes:

Go away stupid moth!! Leave kagehime alone, she's mine right now!

14. Yeah, somebody needs to find out the story behind this!
All I know is, mathematically speaking, if you're gonna put a series in the amount line, you'd better make damn sure that
(a) the series converges absolutely
(b) it converges to the right amount!

21. Thanks for the welcome!
Yep, writing series on checks is definitely something that should be left to the pros. I know someone who put a series in the amount line and he ended up bankrupt and lost his car; he didn't lose his house, but when he woke up he had a wife and three kids!
Risky business, this series stuff.

And for the freepers: I'm series!!11!!
