4. Jeb v Gore/Clinton
Why do you think that Volusia is a pretty solid county for Clinton and Gore in the last three presidential runs but voters there love Jeb in the gubernatorial races? And aren't Mica & Feeney the main reps from the area? I want to see Volusia colored blue more often :)

7. there's explosive population growth
in the Naples/Ft. Myers area. Hopefully, over time, things will start getting better for democrats as the economy becomes more diversified and more families, fewer rich midwest retirees move in.

27. True
Naples definitely has too many of the mindless flag-waving variety. Either that, or rich midwesterners that benefit greatly from the Bush tax "plan". If I ever get a chance, I'm going around Immokalee, where I grew up and went to school, and plastering the entire town with signs for whoever gets the nomination -- that town definitely hasn't benefitted from the Bush tax "plan".

21. Fort Pierce here
Although I've only lived here two years -- does that count? I lived in Houston, TX 26 years before that, and grew up in St. Louis, MO, born in Tulsa, OK.

I love Florida though. You couldn't pay me enough to move back to smoggy, crime-ridden Houston.

I guess you'd call me a transplant. And yes, Jeb (that damn Texan) needs to go. He's doing the same smoke and mirrors routine with our schools that his chimpy brother pulled in Texas.
