Primary Colors, good flick or not?
I was flipping thru the reviews of this over on IMDb.com and I really couldn't get a fix on how the film portrays Dems and/or libs. There were a few freepish comments on how its an accurate portrayal of "our last criminal president Slick Willy" but then freeps could find anti liberal messages in Sesame Street.

1. Very enjoyable if you're not too sensitive about Clinton
Emma Thompson plays her most brilliant role as Hillary Clinton, Travolta is a clever mimic, but Thompson is brilliant.

Plenty of belly-laughing good ol' boy jokes and some pertinent moments on the campaign trail.

7. Clinton image
Was tough, smart and dangerous and endearing. I liked Big Dog even more seeing him personified in Primary Colors.

2. Very very good.
Couldn't imagine John Travolta playing Clinton, but he was excellent.

Billy Bob Thornton as James Carville....good

Emma Thompson as Hillary - excellent.

Kathy Bates - The BEST!

This movie really shows you how dirty politics is.

4. exactly
I was just about to post how this film exposes how one must play dirty to win in politics. I thought the film was rather sympathetic to the Hillary character and wholeheartedly agree on both Thompson's and Bates' excellent performances.

A very funny and insightful film.

9. What I want to know is
Did Carville really go around pulling out his dick at campaign headquarters?
