I know she's a Republican, but having attempted to watch "Buffy the Vampire Slayer", I was surprised anybody considers her to be an actress...

1. She's a craptastic actress.

There are some people that seem to play themselves in every role, which becomes tedious if that person is a jackass. (See Tom Cruise in everything). I'd definitely throw Sarah Michelle Gellar into that pile.

And if that was herself as Buffy, she couldn't even do that right. She was so wooden (like a rainforest), they could deforest 5,000 acres and plenty of her would be left for nitpicking.

She was also in Cruel Intentions. All of her characters seem to be herself. Or else, she can only play one character.

Was when Luke raped Laura and later the show went revisionist and it wasn't rape and they got hitched.

That's almost as bad as the couple in the new documentary. He hired some thugs to throw lye in her face, blinding her. After he came out of the joint they were married.

since SMG played the role, but back then Kendall was snotty, bratty, and rotten.

with Kristy Swanson as Buffy, even though Joss Whedon (whose Firefly series I LOVED) apparently was pissed at the rewrites etc. :shrug:

SMG has always underwhelmed me as an actress. Boring, poor delivery, always with a tinge of superciliousness in all of her interactions with other actors.

She fucking rocked on Buffy, which is one of the best TV shows of all time. I just caught the original movie on cable a few weeks ago and it looks lame lame lame in comparison. Except for Paul Reubens as a vamp.

However, her movie career IS craptastic.

His father would not be happy. Sarah might be a little better, is likely still a Repub. Not all Repub celebs are hopeless - I read that Emma Caulfield might have voted for Kerry. But still, the info. that she's a Repub seems legitimate.

As far as her acting goes, she was fine as Buffy. Not sure she could do much else.
