What is your favorite Shakespeare tragedy?

I am woefully lacking in my knowledge of his tragedies, but I post here the ones I know.

1. Richard III

Sir Ian McKellan was in a very interesting film adaptation of Richard III a few years ago.

Great play.

2. Wasn't it set in the Third Reich?

Vaguely remember it.

Annette Bening was also in it.

Annette Bening was great, but Angelica Huston was FABULOUS. :-)

7. Yes, she was.

Both got Oscar nominations; the movie was nominated for best picture and I don't know what all else.

THAT is a tragedy, man. Not on Shakespearean level, but still. Damn.

9. Technically, Richard III isn't a tragedy. It's one of his history plays....

...the final installment in the first Henriad.

I find Lear completely devastating (and Titus a close second).
