Does God take sides in basketball?
Apparently some nuns in San Antonio think so, according to my local news. So I guess if they win, that means God hates the other team or something?

Well local news here is a vast wasteland, as it is in most places I guess. Since it is sweeps month, we get the restaurant cleanliness reports and Pothole Joe in action. Good grief, I only have it on until Letterman.

3. Uhm, No
or yes

i mean if there is a god, or gawdess, do i think they give a crap about basketball?

i am not even sure that they care about what happens in people's lives at all, really

but if they do, then they surely don't give a shit about who wins in basketball.

jesus stops, he shoots from behind the 3 point line, he shoots, he scores, :woohoo:

8. Well, he did make the hurricane that inspired Tim Duncan to take up basketball
The legend is that Duncan's goal was to be an Olympic swimmer, until a hurricane destroyed the only large pool on his home island.

14. Not as a general rule
However, God does become interested after the New Year once ACC regular season play begins.

Everyone knows that God is a Tar Heel fan. Why else is the sky Carolina blue?

15. As far as sports go, God takes sides against Cleveland in ANYTHING.
Cleveland is cursed.

Someone will always be better than us. Someone always always ALWAYS has that missing piece to the puzzle that we don't have.

Those whiny-ass Pistons (and their fans) make Baby Jesus cry.

21. Yep - Against me.
I love basketball, both watching and playing. God, for some reason, has seen it fit to not only make me suck at basketball but to also make any team I support suck. That darn God!
