-overpriced urban housing
-starbucks
-rudeness as an admirable trait
-literate people who don't read books
-reality shows
-suburban sprawl
-despoilation/removal of forests, wilderness
-factory farming
-milk that costs $4/gallon

15. you will probably have to pay $4/gal or more for milk at least for a while
if you really don't want to see factory farming. Cheap milk is that way partly because of the economies of scale which pretty much = factory farming.
