This is me, believe it or not, in a German concentration camp. The door had been coated with a reflective something, and I thought it would make an interesting pic......

I wouldn't have even thought that was concentration camp, though. Interesting.
We saw Dachau, just as it was closing (we only had 20 minutes). It was eerie...the four of us (my husband's relatives and I) were the only ones there when a Nun locked the iron gates near the ovens. I'll never forget that feeling..or sound. That place definitely had ghosts of some kind!

Last summer, we went to Slave Lake, Alberta for a while then over to Cold Lake for another while. This perogy is in a little town called Glendon. It must bring in a lot of visitors, it worked for us, and of course we had to buy some perogies there. They were very very good.

the morning after a hurricane, trying to help an elderly neighbor down the road put the fence back up around his storage trailer.

Litter in the yard from flooding and wind. We did get the fence back up and it was promptly washed away in Wilma, the next hurricane that year, along with the trailer.

I lived in Syracuse, Rome, and Spencerport during my young years. Just briefly. I remember a fantastic lake called something like Skeneatelas...sp? Had a blast there. And some place called Glenns Falls.

About 20 miles west of Conesus Lake. It's shaped like the finger lakes, but I think, is too far west to be considered one of them.



This is a vacation cottage that I own with my brother and sister. It's a quaint lake community that used to be a Methodist camp. Grounds still owned by the Methodist -- it's called Silver Lake Institute. My permanent residence is in LeRoy, Genesee county -- just a little south west of Spencerport.

Skaneatelas is really upscale, now. Lots of Spa's and resorts.
