I'm a locked thread rubbernecker
Rubbernecker - those who contort their necks as they're driving by the scene of a gruesome accident. I don't do that. I tend to look the other way if emergency personnel are already on the scene.

In thread-land, however, I am a different sort of beast. When the mods (emergency personnel) have locked a thread, I HAVE to look. I have no free will at that time. I MUST see what that discussion was about or devolved to.

Are you a locked-thread rubbernecker, and if so, should we be ashamed?

1. heh. most of the time!
The more forbidden it is, the more enticing it is!

Lu Cifer, now only if we could stop rubberneckers on the roadways of South FL when someone is changing a tire on the OTHER side of the road...

2. For purely research purposes...
I mean, it's good to know what kind of stuff is liable to get shut down here on DU. :) I'm kidding. I look in them because I'm a sick pervert.

3. Yeah, research, that's the ticket!
Except for GD2004. Seeing what goes on unlocked there, I don't want to know.

5. It's best not to ever go there.
I hang out in 'The Latest', so I may accidentally try to post in the '2004' area, but that lovely 'Stop' notice helps--I just close it up and leave after seeing that pop up. That was a great idea on the mods part.

8. Always
And another type of thread I must read are the ones where the poster requests replies from a particular group to which I do not belong, such as "A question for the women on the board..." etc.
