Today In Twisted History
JANUARY 18

Happy Birthday, Alison Arngrim - who's much sexier now than when she was Nasty Nellie Oleson.

1788: English land in Australia to establish penal colony.

1943: As part of war effort, pre-sliced bread is banned in U.S. (so bakeries won't require replacement parts for metal cutting machines).

1974: Second-worst 'Brady Bunch' episode (about the UFO in the backyard) airs. (All-time worst? Cousin Oliver & the movie-studio tour.)

1991: U.S. goes into second full day of bombing Iraq, & Iraq keeps lobbing scud missiles into Tel Aviv.

1993: All 50 United States finally observe Martin Luther King, Jr., Day for the first time.

1. Like a whole crapload of time ago...
Marx repaid Engels for his loans. On January 18.

That is twisted :)

3. Hey!
If it weren't for that little boat ride from England, you wouldn't be able to boast about all those roos and tazzies and wombats and whatnot hopping through your backyard every five minutes.

:D
