Longest you ever went without washing your hair?
Edited on Fri Jun-01-07 01:54 PM by LynneSin
When I had the flu earlier this year I think I went about 5-6 days without washing my hair and at the time I had pretty long hair. That's the thing about the flu - you pretty much care less about how you look and care more about when you can take your next hit of Nyquil

2. I got the codeine the last flu
I can't take that stuff with the pseudoephedrine in it. I get way too wired to the point that I start tweaking on it

10. no! no! no!
I saw that it was a copycat, but I SWEAR I've seen a thread like this before - like maybe a year or two ago!

But I'm sleep-deprived lately, so it could be my dreamworld is crossing over into my real world!

5. My dear LynneSin!
I think the longest was last year after my breast surgery...

Four days, IIRC...

It was really dirty! I hated how it felt and looked... :puke:

6. about 5 days is my max
If I feel sick or maybe depressed about something. It's more usual that if I'm doing sweaty work like heaving cleaning or decorating, I might go 2 or 3 days w/o a bath, then clean up afterwards.

I start to feel... heavy. Y'know?

7. A week.
I usually wash my hair twice a week (it looks just fine and is less harsh on my hair), but there was a week I was sick last and didn't have the energy.

When I was a kid, it was normal to wash your hair once a week. I washed mine every Saturday. :) When I got to my teens in the mid-70s, everyone washed their hair once a day, so I had to do that too.

11. I think a week after my neck surgery
I was in a big ol' brace and somewhat immobile (mostly because of the chunk of bone they took out of my thigh to replace the disk in my neck).

My SO washed it for me. :loveya: I've got hair down to my ass so it was a project - the hard part was combing it out. Luckily I'd kept it braided.

Even when I go camping out in the wilderness, I wash my hair about every 3 days.

12. 2 weeks....water rinse. When you're in the backwoods, you don't wash anything.

15. I don't know. I do know that if I can possibly manage it, I wash my hair even when sick.
Nothing to do at all with caring how I look when I'm sick, but being dirty and nasty makes me feel even worse. Clean sheets, clean jammies, and clean hair help.

17. one week
It was when I was an observer for NMFS, on commercial fishing boats off Florida. I was on a 7 day trip in January and it was WAY too cold to shower. These boats did not have toilets, let alone showers, so the usual method in summer was to put some water in a bucket and put on my swimsuit and bathe that way. But not in January, even off the coast of Florida
