Moral of the story: don't put off going to the dentist!! The sadist made me take 10 days' worth of antibiotics before doing the root canal! AAAAAUUUUGGGGGHHHHH!

I went for one three weeks ago and sat in the chair for two and a half hours waiting for the THIRD shot of novocaine to deaden the area. FINALLY, it took and they sent me packing...said I was "too sensitive and I needed to go to an Enodontic. :mad: The dentist didn't seem to know what the hell she was doing anyway so just as well. I have an appointment for mine next week. :scared:

I'm just ready to get a hammer and knock the damn thing out.

36. I had a couple of root canals done a few years ago. Had them removed b/c of infection.

I had them removed because they ALWAYS have anaerobic infections in the root tips, due to the gutta percha they fill the tooth with. The bugs in the root tips are bad stuff like Clostridium species. The same kind of bugs that cause tetanus, botulism, gas gangrene, all that deadly stuff.

The dentist cleaned em out with ozone, antibiotic wash, and something else to sterilize the holes.
Now I have a bridge with two teeth over it. I also got an infection cleaned out of a hole where one of my wisdom teeth had been removed 30-something years ago. Look for a "biological dentist".
I also had all my mercury fillings replaced with Cerex.

The same day I had my root canal teeth pulled and the cavitation in the wisdom tooth hole (removal of the infected ligament) done, I was lying in bed on drugs recuperating. And just a few hours afterwards, I could tell that I WAS THINKING FASTER. It was amazing.

You have my sympathies over the pain.
