Surf's UP, dears! Get the crabs cookin'!

Hello dears, I must drop in and tell how much I missed you all. This is Sisters favorite time of the year. We are in the middle of the annual Nun-A-Thon. This years theme is SURF'S UP: Nun-A-Thon '07!

This year the whole shin-dig is taking place right here in Mexico. We've invaded ...... um reserved serveral hotels. Today is the first full day of festivities. We are having a beach party with a crab and lobsterfest. Well Rev Mother is normally the biggest crab, but that's another story.

We local sisters charted a boat last week and hauled in a big mess of crabs and lobsters and we're boiling the water, melting the butter, cutting the limes and chilling the beer!

I do hope to remember this tomorrow!

1. once, at the airport

I saw a gaggle of nuns waiting to get on a plane to Vegas. They looked excited.

Could have been Viva Our Holy Mother: Nun-A-Thon 2000.

O' the wild times we had that year. Sister Clara Vision got married and divorced within 48 hours. Needless to say Rev Mother had a stick up her holy rear the size of the MGM Grand.

2. My daughter saw nuns at Six Flags last week

they were chaperoning a Catholic school group.

She said they looked pretty neat riding the roller coasters in habits.

5. Not a fan of the roller coasters.

Once during Nun-A-Thon 1989, I got on a roller coaster after eating. Well, it wasn't pretty.

LMAO, those are Benedictine nuns in the top sister photo. I had that order in high school. They don't dress that way anymore.
