Ben-Gay is doggie Kryptonite
  My husband put some Ben-Gay cream on his shoulder last night because it was sore. Our dogs jumped up on the sofa to curl up with him when he was watching TV, but as soon as they got a whiff of the Ben-Gay odor, they backed off and their hackles went up. They acted like there was some weird force field caused by the menthol in it.

If you need a good non-toxic dog repellent, that's it. :P

3. Your HUSBAND???
Here I thought you were living this life of wild abandon. My illusions are shattered.

You're still cute, though.

4. LOL- That sounds like hand lotion and cats.
Every cat I've had has hated hand lotion.

It doesn't matter which brand I use, if I rub it on
my hands they back off like I just sprayed myself
with turpentine.

Even if they want to get petted, they won't come
near my hands.
The same goes for unscented hand lotion.

;-)

15. Me, too!

Actually, it's the calm before the storm.

My SO is picking up our new sofas way across town
as we speak.

So when he gets back, there's lots of moving and re-arranging of
furniture.
My son, 23, should be back from work soon to help out.

It's going to be a mess, but I'll be glad to finally get rid of our
old, torn-up sofas.

;-)

It'll look much nicer, too.

Now, to keep the kitties from scratching the
hell out of these ones, too.
That's the challenge.

We're going to try packing tape on the sofa edges.
A friend says it works- they don't like the smooth surface.

18. Catnip-positive cats would
Catnip is related to mint. About half of all cats are catnip-positive, and predisposition to it is genetic.

The late great Ms Marble would not give me time of day - but if I was chewing on mentholyptus cough drops, boy howdy! She's steal kisses left and right.

21. All seven of mine love it
So I have a statistically skewed sample. Considering 6 are related, that part's not really surprising. My research on the subject (and my grilling of the best vet evah) point to about half of all cats.

:hi:
