Free Kittens!

Again! Yes, somebody dumped off another mama cat and 5 kittens at the farm. They look to be about 4-5 weeks old, they ate the KRM and kitten food mixture I gave them last night so the mom went to the vet this morning to be neutered (grrr, why does anyone think I have the $$ to neuter all of these cats that get dumped. I mean I do it, but it's expensive even with the low cost coupon - $65 in my area! :mad: )

Anyway, pm me if you are interested. I am 40 miles due west of Chicago. Three orange ones, two tortis.

I live too far away and I don't think
my two male adults would be accepting
any new kitties in the household.

But they are precious.

6. They are absolutely adorable and very cuddly.

Someone has been handling them - they are not afraid of humans in the least. In the pictures, they are all a bit wet and rumpled from their frolic through the feed dishes but the one tortishell in the top pic is the smallest and I'm beginning to suspect she may be a little sick - she's got weepy eyes. She definitely took the brunt of the big guys' walking all over her at feeding time!

The woman who's holding her ended up bottle feeding her and that kitten just melted into her arms like a newborn baby and ended up sleeping flat out on her back in that woman's lap - she was so exhausted by the whole trauma of the day!

It's started raining here and anyone who was trying to do outside work has definitely been driven inside now - perhaps they are on DU. While a barn cat life is not so bad (especially at my barn), my mantra is always that more will come and if they can have a life with a loving family that's always better.

So anyone looking for a kitten or two?!
