I was treated at the pain clinic (RC Goodman) in Ft. Smith

and i don't know what drug i was given, but no hot pack and no other stuff that i'm aware of

flouroscopy guided needle, lidocaine to numb it, and two injections in the epidural spaces, felt kinda weird, told i could leave when i felt like it

Poor, poor pawpicker. I've had a couple epidurals in my time and they aren't pleasant (although they feel better than labor).

I'm asking because my husband is suffering from a bank injury -- upper back/lower neck. He has numbness running down his right arm and into his index and second digit, and he can barely lift his arm above his head. He is now being looked after by a back surgeon, and had an MRI last week -- he sees the surgeon again on the 29th for the results of the MRI.

just degenerating discs, bone spurs, and practically vertebrae on vertebrae, so i was having pain and numbness/burning/tingling stuff, and this is a measure to prevent surgery

I had an epidural when I was in labor with kid #1. It was a big deal. They had to use an anesthesiologist and put me on oxygen. It helped tremendously, though.

said it would be 24 hours before it really had a chance to kick in
but my neck at least is "popping" a bit, when it doesn't then it is usually swollen somewhere and sore, and it isn't so much now

I'm sitting in a position where the numbness isn't bothering me either.
