2. People in my neighborhood have been complaining about
motorcycle noise. He would like me to "ask them to calm down, before they start affecting tourism". Motorcyclists like to ride along the river here. They also like to sit at stoplights and rev their engines, for some reason I've never understood. People along the river have been asking the city to enforce its noise ordinance.

So, I yelled at him when he told me that "in reality, tourists are probably more important to the city than the people in the riverwalk neighborhood."

Then I gave him a piece of my reality. Rather more loudly than I intended. Something about the city being as concerned about the quality of life of residents as that of tourists, government being responsive to the people...that sort of thing.

5. Why'd he pick you for this coveted job?
You a chamber member? On a committee, maybe?

Generally, C of C people make me spew. They tend to think they're important or something.

6. The church is a member...and I'm the one who goes to the meetings
and usually annoy people with my "anti-business" attitudes. So, he knows me. And thinks I'm nice...or he did.

But it also probably reflects my having been up all night, at the vet clinic, with a sick kitty. When I'm tired, I wear my emotions on my sleeve.

I did apologize for raising my voice....after I was sure he'd gotten the point.
