Bad News on the Weather Channel!! Wow. Just wow.
Edited on Fri May-04-07 12:27 PM by mycritters2
I just heard on the Weather Channel that the polar ice cap will be gone by 2020. 2020!! I had no idea we were talking about the damage being that soon. Now I'm worried.

9. my husband wants to move back to Hawai'i but
while we were just driving around Oahu, we kept imagining how much infrastructure will be gone if the oceans rise as much as predicted. I think we are gonna stay put for the time being and see where things are at when it's time for us to retire.

7. When I was a kid in Davenport, we got new neighbors from CR
and I envisioned CR as this HUGE, diverse city, like New York, for some reason. So I would ask the neighbor kids to tell me ALL about Cedar Rapids. I think they were playing along, because they made it sound like this big, fascinating place. I still have that image stuck somewhere in my head, even after having been there. It'll always be the New York of the Midwest to me. The Big Ear of Corn, I guess.

12. I remember Dr. Max talking about the origin of the name.
And he said, tongue in cheek, that it was an Indinan expression, "See the Rabbits."
