Well, no day would be complete without my "dumbass thing I did" submission...
I just went to check on my blueberry muffins.
They're not done, because after I checked on them, I left them on top of the stove.
I did, however, put a potholder in the oven and bake it.

GahhhH!
:banghead:

2. Wow. Baked potholder.
That must be a first. :)

I hope the muffins turn out well. After something like this, you deserve a nice muffin.

7. The muffins still hold potential.
The potholder was slightly overdone.

4. I love you.
What I do is leave the burner on the gas stove on the lowest setting, until I either burn myself, or smell gas at 3am.

9. Ohhhh... I'm BAD about leaving the oven on!
I have a routine I have to run through before I leave the house, to make sure my absent-minded self hasn't left appliances on.

That's a regular of mine.

I did drink grease out of a cup meant to be thrown in the garbage, once.

24. Eeeew! What makes the sugar thing bad is I do it in a public location...
But, the ultimate for me was the "Soft Serve Ice Cream Scandal".

I've got to go... But, if you're interested PM me for the details. ;)

so calling it does not always mean I will find it.

and I never criticize easy to make mistakes like this.

Rather, I join with you in celebrating your humanity--if you'll do the same for me next time I do something, err, human.

30. I started filling the washer, put the detergent in, and walked away
leaving clothes on the floor. I've also put clothes in without detergent which is pretty obvious when you open the lid to almost put them in the dryer. Surprisingly I haven't done either one lately.

So nothing will bake. I feel your pain...

And the day my new desk was delivered I was thrown so off kilter that I threw out all the invoices I'd just printed and put a stack of file folders in the fridge.
