anyone know anything about it? I've googled it, but that doesn't answer my questions, not really. Is this something that happens regularly?

1. It's an annual summer concert tour. Last year's lineup was better.

That's not really something that draws a bad crowd.

I'm trying to do the 'reasonable parent' thing and consider my kid and the kids that he wants to go with and I think they'll be okay if they can get a 'responsible adult' to go with them -- it's just that them thar concerts -- I know 'bout them thar concerts, they're all sex and drugs at 'em, dang it. Oh. Wait. There's sex and drugs at school. Nemmind. :P *sigh* He's getting older. Sometimes it's hard to watch.

16. They are held outside and usually end before it gets dark.
I wouldn't worry about sending a 13 year old with friends to one. They have tons of security and there is only one way in or out.

17. Are you channeling my mom?
She actually said that when I wanted to go see Canned Heat and Dr. John in 1973. :wtf:

I've been to warped tour 3 times, first one I was 17, 18, then 19. No big deal. It's a lot of fun actually!

Vans is the corporate sponsor for the tour of various bands- ska, "punk", etc.

seems to be "punk", but I know very little about the genre. My 13-year-old wants to go.

Some "punk" is awesome, some "punk" is awful, and some "punk" I refuse to consider "punk." :P

8. It's just the summer, mostly punk music tour.
It's usually OK. Lots of skaters, which kind of pissed me off.

13. A loud, but enjoyable high school fieldtrip
I've been a few times, and each time I realize just how old I am. I would say that the majority of folks there are between 12 and 17. They stop here in July this year, but I doubt I'm heading out to it.
