Software suggestion?
I'm looking for a simple application that allows graphical manipulation of text, so that I can create curved titles and whatnot. Ultimately, I need to put this text into an existing graphic.

The system on which I'm doing all of this is slow and somewhat antiquated, so I'm hoping for a simple, bargain-basement program.

Suggestions?

1. Damn. If you were using an Acorn Archimedes
(British computer technology circa 15-20 years ago) I would know EXACTLY the program for the job. But you aren't, so I'll shut up now.

2. Not sure if this is the type of software you need, but
Donald Rumsfeld is giving the President his daily briefing. He concludes by saying: "Yesterday, three Brazilian soldiers were killed."

"OH NO!" the President exclaims. "That's terrible!"

His staff sits stunned at this display of emotion, nervously watching as the President sits, head in hands.

Finally, the President looks up and asks, "How many is a brazillion?"

Robert Gates is giving the President his daily briefing and concludes by saying: "Yesterday, three Brazilians died in Iraq."

The President shakes his head. "Really, it's not that big a deal. They'll be fine."

Gates and the staff sit, dumbfounded by this callous display.

"I mean come on," says the President. "I've been waxed that way dozens of times, and it only feels like you're dying."
