Assholes! Please stop singing at work!

So I work in a call center, but I am not an operator. I am a WRITER--and I am TRYING to concentrate on writing and translating technical stuff!!

Why does every freaking moron in this place feel like they are trying out for American Idol??? It's a professional workplace! STOP F'ING SINGING!!!!

It's not enough that I have to deal with the traffic from the front door next to my desk, the receptionist next to me and her constant marital dramas on the phone (and slamming of her desk drawers, which I've already asked her to stop), meetings in the conference room next door, asthma sufferers hacking like mad, training classes being held two doors over, loud operator conversations drifting across the room. But the one thing you'd think people would be courteous enough not to do--- singing. The really operatic Mariah Carey kind of singing!

And no, the head of the company doesn't like people working from home, so can't do that, and he's hemming and hawing on getting those of us that need them individual office spaces.

I'm losing it.

but the charge is low. I need to recahrge at lunchtime. I have a charger in the car.

But sometimes, I don't even want to listen to music. I just need QUIET so I can hear myself think.
