Poll question: What if one were to suggest that people, generally, are irrational?

That generally we are prone to logical weaknesses that can make concepts such as "self-governance" precarious when practiced? Would you agree with that statement?

3. But do people see that irrationality in others only, or do they see it in everyone...
including those in their own philosophical camp?

2. Sure. We're one of the first species to have evolved rational thought...
...but we don't use it all the time. In response to immediate threats, especially, it's useless. Many of us have grown too lazy to use it when we need to, as well.

5. So if it's been proposed, and has a part of culture for such a long time,
then why do many liberals still believe in populism?

6. Because populism is defending
the interests of the common people.

Are you maybe thinking of libertarianism?

7. Quoting Williams...
"All of us are guinea pigs in the laboratory of God. Humanity is just a work in progress."
