Is asking for the condoms back from an ex girlfriend going too far?

For the record, this is the one who just started dating one of my erstwhile best friends. I'd been loathe to bring up such an awkward/sensitive topic, but now I feel pretty much entitled to be a bit of a tool.

Also for the record, I've just sent the email, so there's no counseling me out of this--what's done is done! I'm just curious to see what y'all'd do in my position. If there are less than 10 n that box I'm gonna acost my buddy and make him pay up at some river's put in. :)

Call me juvenille if you must. But I am smiling and laughing more now than I have in more than a week! :)

All emailing the ex-gf did was confirm that you're still carrying a torch. Trust me, you didn't want to do that...it'll be held over your head for a long long time. She's going to tell her friends...who are going to tell their friends...who are going to tell your friends. You might as well start looking for a new apartment six states away now and get a head-start.

Next time you are in this exact situation, if you can't help but send the email...get drunk instead. It has less long-term ramifications.

In case you're not seeing the theme: They suck as human beings. You're better off without them. Move on.

Just move on. Go kayaking...join a crew club...hell, sign up for a dating site even. As long as you keep dwelling on it, the longer you will be miserable. Your past messages indicate that you're not pissed-off that she's dating, you don't even want her back...you're just pissed off that your friend is dating her. That's not worth being pissed off about.
