Something silly from last week's conference: Women and ID badges.
Having one's ID badge on one's belt in the factory is OK but catches on things. Men and women both do this, especially with the retractable belt clip.

However...

Why on EARTH do women put a name badge which at a conference is guaranteed to be stared at ON THE SHIRT OR BLOUSE, AT THE BOTTOM, 2" TO EITHER SIDE OF THEIR CROTCH?

I mean really. I know, still being out numbered at these things, you're sensitive about clipping the badge on the pocket so it looks like every guy who tries to network with you and your company is staring at your breasts, but there are other places: the collar, the lapel of the coat ABOVE the breast, but hanging down over the crotch like a weird fig leaf is not the answer.

With more and more women at these things, I spend less and less time looking at their name badge, so I have no idea what their name is or who they work for: just being polite and happily married; HONEST.
