That's how long it took me to find out I'm getting screwed on my taxes this year. Yay! :sarcasm:

It really sucks when you can't claim your kid as a dependent anymore, but only realize it 25 hours before the taxes are due.

And, of course, it screws up my state taxes as a result, because they are based on the federal taxes.

Divorce sucks!

Oh, and I just got edged up into the AMT bracket last year.

My tax bill was $1750 this year. It's the first time I've owed taxes.

I can't cough up a grand that fast, not at all. :-(

Once I get caught up on my child support, I'll be changing my W4, that's for sure.

3. I did my return electronically

And made the payment via credit card. I'll have the credit card paid off next month so I wasn't hit too bad with finance charges.

I did'nt get much back, something but it was nothing. And I owe the state $6 .
