I'll pay $30-40 for a pair of Vans. Those things last forever. I've had the same pair for 6 years and I almost never wear socks. Aside from some heavy wear on the soles, they're still doing fine.

12. Hey!
I'm sorry I never got back to you about meeting up for drinks last weekend. My mom came up for Easter (Saturday and Sunday) and I got stuck with family stuff all weekend. :(

Hope you and LeftyMom had a nice time without me.

9. New Balance

Best fit, great (usually) construction, and they're really, really good for your feet (the running shoes, anyway). Also more socially conscious than some high-end manufacturers, as a bonus.

am looking for a blue pair. That great blue color! And they don't have a pump or a thing or a deal, they're just great shoes that look great, too.

23. Not really brand
loyal when it comes to shoes....finding shoes that fit/are comfortable is a hard task...so, I say, anything that fits, within 20-30 bucks, any brand! :)

25. whatever fits my freakish feet
Oktoberain refuses to 'shoe shop' with me, because i am so 'picky' about what i buy.

O.k... let's see. What do my shoes HAVE to be?

men's size 9 ~or~ women's size 10 1/2 - 11 (ridiculous for a 5'5" girl)
width E or EE
little (if any) arch (otherwise, it feels like a golf ball in my shoe)
usually solid black, otherwise some dark color (because i can't keep white shoes looking even remotely clean)

The most comfortable things i have ever worn were a prototype pair of Adidas all-terrain cross-trainers, which i bought from a sales rep in NC back in the mid-90's. I would have bought 10 prs of those things, IF they had ever gone into production.

But they didn't.

My most recent pr of sneaks is a pr of New Balance running shoes. They're o.k., but ont ideally suited to me. But they keep my feet off the cold pavement, so i guess they'll do.

26. Nike
That's usually all I buy.

To me, they are the most comfortable and durable.

I alsko liked New Balance but they don't hold up as well as Nike.

31. My Aaaaa DIDAS!!!
Atually Asics for running and I have some Nikes for basketball and some Pumas for wearing around.

I did see some pretty cool Adidas in the NCAA tourney but I have seen any on the shelves yet.

It is next to impossible to find a decent looking pair of wearing around basketball shoes these days.
