7. Excellent photos! BTW, my camera also has 12x, however, if I don't use

the maximum resolution, it jumps up to 16.5 optical - perhaps yours does too! I bring it up because it wasn't advertised (at least on anything I saw), and I just happened to find out by reading the manual.
(mine is a Panasonic Lumix FZ7)

There are lots of general purpose ones too.
