I just wanted to say something to you guys.

I've never liked my birthday very much, because I almost never feel appreciated on it. I always dread its coming, because I always worry that my friends and loved ones won't acknowledge it. Hell, out of all of my family, the only people who regularly even say happy birthday are my mother and my youngest sister. So all of my uncles, my older brother, my older sisters, my stepsisters, my father, my nieces and nephews, can't be bothered to remember at all. I'm not so much bitter as I am resigned. I hate being overlooked, but it seems to be a patten in my dealing with my family.
So I rarely look forward to it.

I didn't expect much out of DU either. But you guys were wonderful, especially kagehime (of course), Left is Write, kajsa, deepthought, and everyone else who made my day just by acknowledging me.
It may seem small and insignificant, but to me, it really means the world.
Thank you, everyone. This is the reason why I love the Lounge even if I complain about it all the time. You guys are great. Thank you again, and again, and again.
I couldn't ask for better friends.

I try to focus on people( in my family) who
are supportive. That would be my mom.
My brother is another story altogether.
Even Southpaw would have a tough time figuring
him out- ( maybe not).
They are the surviving relatives in my extended family.

And don't forget those kitty cats!
I know you have some at home.

They may be a pain in the drain, sometimes, but
Oh!- how they get me out of myself and save my sanity!
