2. New keyboard.
And keep your drinks on a separate surface in the future.

Sounds like the waterlogged one is fried.

3. New keyboard....
I watched a coworker take his apart after a similar mishap. 8 hours of meticulous cleaning and drying later, it still didn't work. It's not worth your time...

5. Yeah...
especially when you can get a new one for less than $20.

4. I've done that.
Sadly, mine never worked again...likely yours won't either.

OTOH, keyboards are comparatively cheap. just don't go to Staples. I had to buy a mouse last month and the cheapest one was almost $40. (But I was stuck as I needed it literally right that minute.) the keyboards were just as bad. I know that you can buy a keyboard (or mouse) for almost nothing...nearly any keyboard will work as they haven't changed the connector-type in almost 20 years.

with very little search effort on my part...

On edit- Just looked at the description, part of which reads, "Protective casing located under the key caps shields liquid spills for superior protection and years of use."

6. Can I just say?
BAD move. Ditto everyone else on the "just get a new one at this point and don't do that again" thing. :patriot:

Doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results. ;)

7. I put mine in the dishwasher to clean it.
You just need to let it dry for a very long time. But, you probably fried yours. Luckily, they are really cheap.
