2. That's exactly why
we're having squid. :) (Really, we are having squid for Easter dinner. CMW has a new book of Japanese recipes.)

5. Did you know that pigs are some of the smartest animals on Earth?
and have complex familial relationships, show a full emotional range and distinct personalities, and may be smarter than some Republicans.

6. the honorable elijah mohammed tells us
that the pig is the filthiest of creatures, who wallows in, and eats, his own filth.

that is why pork is forbidden.

7. Pigs are omnivores...and they can't sweat.
they eat anything (meat, vegetative matter, dirt, tin cans, garbage) because..well...anything is there for them to eat. Goats do it too. Further, both have digestive systems which prevent illness from eating the same thing twice to get twice the nutritional value. Gross but true. Some humans do the same thing except they're doing it for sexual release...you tell me, which is more bizarre?

They wallow in filth to cool off because otherwise they'd die every time the temperature broke 80 degrees. For that matter, if humans didn't have sweat glands, you'd wallow in the dirt too for the exact same reason.

I noted that you didn't even try to refute that pigs are smarter than some Republicans.

8. "I noted that you didn't even try to refute that pigs are smarter than some Republicans. "
what's that supposed to mean?

i noted that you have a unwholesome "admiration" for livestock.

12. Well...no.
I said pigs may be smarter than some Republicans...you argued that pigs were filthy animals...but didn't even try to argue that Republicans were smarter than pigs. I'm just being light-heartedly snide...joking around, etc. Just because I'm a vegetarian, doesn't mean I don't have a sense of humor about it.

I love livestock...but not that way. I spent my youth on a (small, family. Grandpa raised sheep, goats, pigs.) farm so I know a lot about livestock. If I had more land and I wasn't trying to move to NYC, I'd adopt "retired" dairy cows. They're so adorable and sweet and well...they're low maintenance. Not as low as goldfish, but close. Eat, sleep, poop, walk 10 feet, repeat. A cow's life for me.
