Please...convince me that I'm not alone
I don't have, nor likely will ever have a "myspace" page. I think that I'm the only human that doesn't. Nothing against those that have a "myspace" page, but I really need to know that I'm not the only one without one.

Notwithstanding, I've been poked, prodded and nudged to having said "myspace" page, but all things considered, I just don't think that I want one.

If I'm wrong, I will subsequently create a myspace page and beg you all to be my friends (as defined by the TOS of myspace.com).

So...whatcha drinking tonight, eh?

1. My dear flvegan...
I actually do have one.....

But I only visit it when there are messages for me...

If you don't want one, then by all means forget it!

I'm not even sure why I still keep mine.....

haven't ever even visited the site. But, I also don't have an iPod, so I think I might be an alien or some alternate life form that doesn't really give a crap about fads and gadgets. Have a cell phone, never programmed it or texted or nuthin'. Though, I do loves me my internets (non-myspace internets, that is).

I have 832,040 my space pages and most of my friends have more.

I have never met a person with less than 200 pages and frankly I have always considered such people as being well, a little - how can I put this? - "different."

I hope your passport is up to date and that you have established accounts overseas with several different currencies.

May I also suggest psychotherapy and possibly some plastic surgery?

flvegan already knows the story.

My sister and her best friend told me a few weeks ago that I should get a myspace "so we can keep in touch." My sister and I live in the same house. That's the joke- that we need the internet to keep in touch with people just down the hall.

23. you should have a myspace page...
i am able to network with more people that share my specific interests i.e. music, arts, theater & dance, but that's me,

though here as a for instance: http://www.myspace.com/anytimeanyplace

you will be able to see, that the format is highly textural for creative, targeted, motivated interests such as you are known to have;

if not myspace, i therefore suggest you consider such venues as a means of expressing your uniqueness,

they are easy to set-up, and you will be able to express creativity in that regard as well after you get hip to dropping codes into your profile,

drinking? i already drank it

Ridin the Storm Out
Ridin' the storm out, waitin' for the thaw out
On a full moon night in the Rocky Mountain winter.
My wine bottle's low, watching for the snow
I've been thinking lately of what I'm missing in the city.
AND I'M NOT MISSING A THING
Watchin' the full moon crossing the range
Ridin' the storm out
Ridin' the storm out.

My lady's beside me, she's there to guide me.
She says that alone we've finally found home.
The wind outside is frightening,
but it's kinder than the lightning life in the city.
It's a hard life to live but it gives back what you give.

You don't need a myspace dude. It's nice to keep up with old friends and post pictures and blogs or whatnot, but if you don't care about those things, or have other ways of doing them, then don't worry about having a my space.
As for what I'm drinking tonight, I've tried to drink ALL weekend, but apparently people in Dallas don't have a freaking clue about Rum. It's highly annoying.
And I swear to God, if I get offered a newsletter about Kennedy again I'm going to punch someone out.

63. You're not alone
(Well, I'm guessing you kinda already figured that out from reading all the posts agreeing with you before mine!) I don't have a MySpace and will likely never get one. It's not that I'm totally against the concept of keeping a webpage with personal stuff about yourself, your life, etc. I have a LiveJournal, though I rarely update it anymore. But something about MySpace just annoys me; in general, so many of them are way too "busy" in terms of all the different junk and things going on on the screen, and the whole deal with all the multiple "friends" on there that people have who they may not even know in real life annoys me. Plus, I'm kind of a contrarian (I hope I'm using that word correctly) and often have a tendency to stay away from things that seem too popular and that "everyone" feels like they just have to have.

68. I don't have one and don't want one.
I have a blog, though, but I blog for me, not anyone else. I could care less if anyone reads it or not.

Don't sweat it--it's not that big a deal.

71. I have never had, nor ever will have, a "MySpace" page.
It's just too "after my time". :)

73. I have absolutely no desire to have a myspace page.
Edited on Mon Apr-09-07 09:05 AM by qnr
Anyway, I'm not much of a "friend" type. I'm almost 50, I've lived on (or been on) all seven continents, and I only have 2 friends. I think myspace cheapens the word remarkably.

Edit: coffee and sambuca

81. Me neither. According to my kids, I am the last person in the U.S.
who doesn't have a cell phone and doesn't want one. I can now tell them that they are wrong. I am not alone.

75. I have one, and it's kind of fun.
Most of my myspace friends are DUers.

I didn't realize myspace was owned by Rupert Murdoch. This is actually the third myspace page that I've created; did it twice before and almost immediately thought, "This is really stupid," and deleted them.

Sorry, I hear too many stories of creeps using myspace to pickup underage kids. Just not for me
