1. Light dusting, eh?
Cool looking, as long as it stops NOW.

Didn't realize you were a Mainiac. I have family in Augusta. :hi:

2. It's a little heavier now, maybe 3 inches. Actually, it has been snowing
all day, on and off, but didn't start to accumulate until recently.

6. 3 days now too, but only because it is 0:02 :)
Generally pretty mild recently, and it was a mixture of snow and rain on Tuesday.

19. Ours is fairly light
more than what you have - but it's not welcome, considering the snow from October just finally melted in the past couple of weeks.

At least it's light out till 8 pm now - the days will be getting much longer, warmer and brighter very soon. :bounce:

8. I know it's weird...
but sometimes I kinda like the spring snow. It never lasts as long, isn't as cold and it sticks to the trees better (here nothing ever sticks to anything except the evergreens). Sometimes it's purty.

And look at that snow sky. Bundle up, find a good book and light the fireplace, Doll...it ain't done with you yet.

20. Is it still snowing or is it taking a break?
Y'know what I like about being out in it? The quiet. It's a different, more intense quiet.

24. Still snowing. I just got back in. Yeah, I love the quiet too, except
it gives me time to think about how much I miss my boys (dogs), and how we used to romp in it

29. Ah.
But those are good memories, aren't they? The warm fuzzy kind? The kind that makes you smile when you're completely alone.

Enjoy them. They might be bittersweet, but bittersweet has its time and place. And sounds like a quiet walk through the snow is just the place for those memories.

13. Wow, that is quite a drop. We were in the sixties earlier, last time I looked
at the thermometer it was 18 or so. Note that that is earlier in the week, it didn't drop that far in one day.

35. We had some snow/ice pellets mixed with rain.
It started as thick ice pellets, pinging off my car.
But turned to rain...typical New England spring. ;)

StormTrak 5 Weather In-Depth

UPDATED: 12:15 am EDT April 5, 2007

http://www.thebostonchannel.com/weather/8029411/detail.html

BOSTON --

Well, winter will not let go just yet. It's actually something that happens fairly
often... we see some snow in April.

Wednesday afternoon featured a burst of heavy, wet snow just below the Ma. Pike,
along the Ma. Pike from Worcester to Boston, and across the North Shore and on up
into New Hampshire and Maine. In the 128 to 495 belt, 1/2" to 1"+ of wet snow accumulated.

However, the rain/snow line then moved northward on up into New Hampshire, but then
started to move back into Ma., and reached Worcester a little before midnight, with
precipitation mixing with sleet and snow in the 128 to 495 belt after midnight as a
low pressure system intensified rapidly and passed just east of Boston during the wee
hours of the morning.

Significant precipitation will end in all areas before the Thursday morning commute
with nothing more than a little slush possible in Boston on grassy surfaces.

But, snowfall accumulations will range up to 1-2" between 128 and 495.

2-4" north and west of route 495, especially the Worcester Hills up toward Nashua, N.H.,
and 4-8" or more from Concord New Hampshire across to Portland Maine with the risk of
downed tree limbs and possibly trees, which could cause power outages, because of the
heavy, wet nature of the snow.

6-12" will likely fall across the ski areas of Northern New England.

Looks like you may be on the way to that 6" to 12"!!

Pretty pic! Stay warm! ;)
