Is there a good way to get over jet lag?
I always get a hellacious case whenever I travel east, and I'm really tired of being unable to fall asleep until I would back home.

Tiredly,
LM :boring:

1. What worked for me
I was stationed in Europe for 2 years, and came back to the states twice a year. Going East wasnt too bad for me, going West really sucked - I would wake up at 4AM for weeks.

But what I did - the day before you fly East, stay up as late as possible, hours more than you normally would. Get up early, get on the plane, and sleep during the flight. When you arrive, stay up as late as possible again in the new time zone, until the early morning hours. The shock of the odd sleep times would let my body jump into the new time zone a little easier.

2. When I came back home from Germany after being ahead 6 hours for 3 years ...
I made myself stay up ... my family got a kick out of seeing me look like a zombie but it worked.

3. A friend of mine swears by a couple of melatonin tablets
about 30 minutes before you want to go to sleep at the new, correct time.
