Help me find the best deal for cable TV...
Comcast is stiffing me.. $156.25 (55 bucks for Internet, but 90 for CABLE?!)

Find me a better, asskicking deal that'll make Comcast whimper.

DirecTV and Dish is fine.

Qwest is out, though. Don't need their DSL.

Count on spending 50-70 bucks per month for a decent package.
Comcast sounds like our owh sh*t Charter cable.

4. I have comcast
$140/month for phone, internet, and cable (HBO, SHOW, and Starz, plus a bg as bunch of others). I've actually been surprisingly happy with their service, they've even sent out people at no cost to me when I was having connection issues. Turns out they had to replace the line from the street to the house, got it all fixed in less than 6 hours (had to wait for the bucket truck), all within the same day I called.

Verizon is getting in the cable game, too, they may have really competitive prices.

5. Wow!
$156, do you have premium channels in that package,ie.HBO,showtime? The internet part of it is not bad though. I have Directv and its only about $60 a month and thats with HBO {big Sopranos fan and I love the America undercover specials} I don't know much about the internet side of Directv I've heard both bad and good.

6. I'm paying for a Silver package
that is just HBO and Encore.

Part of the promotion deal from 2 years ago, and I've been on the horn every 3 months to get them to knock it off overcharging me (they keep saying they will give me a discount even after I threatened to leave) and I'm growing VERY tired of their bullshit.

I know I can get a better deal elsewhere.

7. We have no choice for Cable. With our whopping $3.00 senior
discount, we are giving Comcast $88.29 a month. By the time we deleted the language channels that we do not want (there are 5), the cartoons, all the shopping networks, the duplicates, the sleeze, and the stupid, we get very little for our extended basic TV reception. Basic is about $10.00 a month and has so little to offer that we are forced to buy the extended. As a consumer, I feel we should be able to pick our channels. Not so says Comcast. They have put us under their thumb with no voice at all. I do not want satellite with a dish for each TV. It would look like ears sticking off my house.

Have no problem paying the Internet(broadband) rate, it is fast and I am impatient. I could get the box and go DSL. Good grief, another box.

9. one dish per house
The signal is distributed to various receivers inside.
You could end up with two if, for example, one of your local stations was only found on another bird. But no more.
Unless you like the antenna farm look, of course.

10. See if Wow is available in your area.

I love that we dumped shitty Comcast. We're saving money, and the internet is faster and more reliable.
More TV channels too.
