What do you have planned for this weekend?
I'll be filling out my application for a passport. Never know when you'll need it with the Bush regime. I don't like some of the privacy language (they can even give your info to outside the public realm,) but the positives outweigh the negatives for me. I'll also be talking to a business opportunity more, listening to music of course, and watching the NCAA tournaments.

Will be posting again after the weekend sometime. Have a good weekend! :hi:

1. Testing for my red belt in Tae Kwon Do tomorrow morning
lunch afterwards with those of us testing, our instructor, and the judges.

On Sunday, it's my aunt's 90th birthday party.

Busy weekend.

And I hope your aunt has a happy and healthy 90th year. :)

35. Thanks, ThomCat!
I'm more nervous for this test than I have been for any previous test, and can use all of the good wishes I can get.

My aunt is in an assisted living facility (formerly a nursing home) and she is doing very well. She is getting much more social as she gets older, she used to be a near-shut-in with only family visiting her. When she fell and broke her hip, she moved from her low-rent senior housing to the nursing home and it was one of the best things that happened to her (moving, not the hip!)

18. Does it have to be a '69?
A neighbor of mine has one for sale, but it's a... '71, I think.

I haven't seen it, though.

25. I might be interested....
depending on condition and price, etc. Got any pics?

But I really like the 1969.
The Javelin went through a major body change in 1970. The 68 and 69s had a flat front end, but in 1970 they added the 'humps' over the front wheels similar to the Corvette, which I just dont like as much. The post 1970 ones usually have bigger engines, though.

28. I know; I hated that
I don't know what they were trying to do, but it was hideous. Same as Chevrolet up-fucked the Camaro in '70, trying to make it look like a Monte Carlo.

I may be wrong about the year, though. Like I said, I haven't seen it; another neighbor told me about it. I'll check it out, get some pics and details on the engine, etc.

I've been wanting an excuse to see it, anyway. :D

I hope to do some writing too. Friends have been leaving me messages and I haven't been home, so those calls need to be returned.

I'd like a nice, mellow weekend. :)

10. Hubby is sweeping me off for an anniversary trip.
Our wedding anniversary is Sunday (12 years!) and tomorrow morning after the mandatory Coach's meeting for girls' softball (yeah, we coach softball for our daughter's league) we are dropping our daughter off with Grandma & Grandpa and we are headed to an area of national forest and wineries.

Yep, gonna go stay someplace pretty and drink some wines...

Sounds like a plan to me!

Oh, and holding my new great-niece--my sister became a grandmother back in January.

17. This cold has nixed a lot of my would-be plans
I feel absolutely rotten.

Tonight I'm just going to stay in and watch movies and DU a bit. Tomorrow I'm going to the theatre, and Sunday, after the service and possibly lunch with a couple of friends, will get down to business as I'm chairing a meeting Monday and have to prepare for that.

So...lots of rest, reading, liquids and vitamin C. Perhaps I'll figure out a way to use phlegm to power my car. x(

27. I'll work at the horse farm in the mornings and attend a friend's birthday lunch
Edited on Fri Mar-30-07 01:49 PM by CottonBear
at a beautiful home on a lake in a resort community. :)

My horse needs grooming. Her mane and tail are tangled and she's really dusty from rolling in her favorite spot. I was so busy this week that I didn't get to attend to her - my bad.

I'll work on my garden too. Everything is totally yellow with pollen here in NE GA. The pollen count is over 6,000 (a record I believe) and it hasn't rained in weeks. What a mess!

Have a great weekend y'all! I'll be back to DU on Monday!

edit: I can't spell today.

33. I'm going to ANOTHER bridal shower with my insane MIL...
:yoiks: This will be a nearly-identical repeat of the one two weeks ago, except it's in a different location with a different theme. It's still an hour and half drive each way, just like last time. I'll be bonkers by the end of the day, just as I was last time, because my MIL does NOTHING except yak, yak, yak continuously. For some reason, she just CANNOT be silent. I really do not want to go to this shower, because 1) I went to the one two weeks ago and have other things I really need to do this weekend, 2) I really can't stand to be around my MIL more than an hour or two; and 3) I'm very tired after an exhausting week at work. But I'm going anyway because I like my husband's cousin (the bride). She's really sweet. :)

On Sunday, I will do nothing but sleep, laundry, and watch tv. :)
