12. Throw me a life jacket!
I don't want to sink with the ship while I'm sipping my cherry coke.

My day was wonderful. I went to lunch with my ex MIL. Then we went to the nursery and bought flowers.

I came home to mow and edge the lawn then I planted some of the flowers I bought. It started sprinkling so I wasn't able to get them all planted. That will be my chore for tomorrow.

It was a wonderful way to spend a spring day.

2. My dear Southpawkicker.......
What a lovely invitation, sweetie.....

Think I'll just have some freshly squeezed orange juice, if that's on the menu......

Thanks!

And my day?

Well....got up late.....lay around most of the morning, had breakfast, and finally got my sorry ass off to the gym...

And had a terrific workout!

I really felt strong today, unlike some days...

Ran into a girlfriend of mine, and told her all about DU....

Hope we'll get a new member one of these days!

Came home, decided to eat lunch......

Had my shower later.......

Finally had to get out and buy something for dinner.....

Then watched Jim Lehrer news summary.......

Now I'm here, for the evening....

How was your day, sweetie?

5. Hi sweetie! I'll just have a sparkling water, with lime, please
I had a nice day today, thanks for asking. Took a 20 mile bike ride with a new cycling friend today, which was great. We chatted the whole time and yet it was a good workout with some good climbing. Then, I went to the gym and did some upper body weight training and some ab work, too. I'm gearing up to do a big organized ride this w/e with 2,500 other cyclists, all women. Should be fun!

I'm in Spring Training mode, baby! :bounce:

7. I can't complain, but
at one point today, someone brought up a subject that hits a sore spot with me, involving events that occurred several years ago.

I found myself wondering, again, if it's possible to forgive people who are not the least bit sorry for hurting me. And I'm ticked with myself for still being emotionally affected by stuff that's history.

9. Sometimes it's history that gets us GoG
and our emotions don't exist in the dimension of time, so what happened 5 minutes ago can at times have nearly the intensity of something that happened long long ago.

8. I'd like a V-8
On second thought it might give me heartburn -- not a good idea just before bed. I'll take a caffeine free ice tea.

I went for a blood draw early this morning. Was ordered from my doctor who I saw yesterday for this raging bronchitis that I've been losing a week long battle with. My doc also set up a referral for a stress test -- going to do that on the 10th.

Went to school for my 8th grade class (only school class of the day), went to the library to work on the mural I've been doing, did an after school class, picked up pizza and wings for dinner, and came home.

I took a 1/2 hour nap around 7 (I never do that), but I think it's the bronchitis. Watched Lost, The Daily Show, and now The Colbert Report as I'm typing this.

Thank you for the tea.
:hi:
Nice, comfortable joint you have here.

13. I had a great day!
(ginger ale for me please if you got it)

Did a little light shopping for hubby, chaired a good meeting on "Fellowship" made a connection to get the lawn mowed and the driveway cleaned up (Hubby threatened to spend Saturday doing it after working 65+ hours NOT AN OPTION if I had anything to say about it!) which got done this afternoon

made Tacos for dinner, Hubby got home an hour and a half early so we actually got to spend a couple hours just hanging out

it was a good day (but I'm low maintenance and high payback)

:hi:

and how was your day dear SPK??

23. Well, it's a little early for alcohol - I'll have cranberry juice please
So far, I've slept rather late, had a nice breakfast and spent some time cursing at the computer.

I plan on getting off my duff and working out shortly. Then I have to go to the bank, run a few errands and then come home and pay bills. :(

After that, I'll be ready for a real drink. ;)

How are you this morning? :hi:

26. I'm in the middle of the monthly billing review
for one of my clients, validating all of their cellular spending and inventory. It's the most boring part of my job. I'm plugged into Internet radio and DU to keep me coherent. And I'm having trouble concentrating because of the usual battle: pain versus painkillers.

Somebody save me from this! x(

30. Your pain vs painkillers?
that is a very tough one...

and one that the medical community hasn't come up with a good answer for yet.

opioids without mind numbing effects... supposedly methadone was for that, but it's got many drawbacks too.

:pals:

hang in there man!
