How to lose 35 pounds in 57 days
by

ME

Dropped off the little girl at daycare, went for an run in the Fan, went to the Doctor's

I've lost 35 pounds since January 30th-57 days

Smaller portions aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand........

Excercise.

The plus side is that the more you workout the more you can eat and odds are the better you will eat.

Lots of 5AM runs
elliptical machine (iPod-> highly recommended)
treadmill when needed

Plus of course a ridiculous amount of sit-ups and there was that not eating for 10 days thing

Blood pressure is 100/80
Cholesterol check too

I've already eaten two Egg McMuffins and I have two boxes of Do-si-do's upstairs. Some of the rich creamy whole milk from the dairy in the fridge too. I turned 40 years old (Biblical for "a long time") today. :-)

1. Congratulations!
Eating better and more exercise. That's the way to do it.

I used to be quite overweight (250 with a 42 inch waist). I lost 80 lbs in a year (well, that was the "number" as I gained 15 lbs of muscle).

Stick with it. Oh, and Happy Birthday (saw the other thread).

5. Thanks
Thanks

I am training for the marathon in November so the running is going to take care of the rest of the weight I need to lose. I think I can do some push-ups now.

8. the appetite thing is very true
when I work out my appetite soars. I try very hard to eat higher quality foods, and I try to slow down when I eat, knowing that if I do it will take less food to fill me up.

I would LOVE to lose 35 lbs.

Congrats!

11. Happy b'day etc.
I gotta lose some too (If I lose 30 lbs, I can call myself "obese")

5AM runs? Oh Jeebus, how the hell do I do that without a motivational Drill Sergeant?

What is with "not eating for 10 days"? Stomach flu?

12. The 5 AM thing
I don't even use an alarm. I don't know how I am doing it but at 5AM BING! I am up. Thursday morning I was in the middle of a loooooong dream and suddenly 5:00 in big red letters, breath, oh get up. I was out the door 15 minutes later. The absurd part is the lack of coffee involved for the last 3 weeks.

Lemonade diet-see here
