3. good story about this
one time, a buddy and i went to a ceLtics game (this was about 5-6 years ago) and after headed over to hooters which is a few bLocks away from the garden. (it was aLso my first and onLy time in a hooters but that's besides the point of this story)

anyhow, there was a Line up the bLock to get in, but we got there before the crowd reaLLy rushed over so we weren't too far from the front. as we get near the front, the bouncer/whatever announces that a tabLe has opened up. there's a guy and a girL ahead of us in Line, but the bouncer wouLdn't give them the tabLe because the tabLe seats up to 4 and they can't waste tabLes Like that. so the guy turns around and says, "hey you guys are with us, right?" and we say sure, and head in with them.

so we sit at our tabLe and get to know each other over beers and hotwings. there was a roLL of paper toweLs on the tabLe, stuck on a wooden spooL. the base of the spooL was covered with graffiti.... incLuding writing that said, "for a good time caLL john doe at 555-5555" and i suggested we aLL take turns caLLing the guy untiL our food shows up. so i went first, and the guy answered. so i ask for him by his fuLL name, and repLies, "speaking"... and i inform him that, "yes, um, you're name and number were written down here, and it says to caLL you for a good time."
he asked me to repeat myseLf, and somewhere near the end of that he hung up.

so, i pass the phone to the woman (one of our two new best friends! they both worked at NECN by the way.) who hits rediaL, and proceeds to ratchet it up a notch, with the purring femaLe voice. she Lasted about 4 back and forths before he hung up on here.

then my buddy caLLs, and john doe answers the phone, "WHAT!?"
and my buddy, repLies, "yes, i'm Looking for a good time" which Leads to another quick hang-up.

my other new best friend decLined to caLL, so i made another caLL. this time, john doe answered, "STOP FUCKING CALLING ME!!"

and we aLL Laughed.

and then our hot wings were ready.

23. Funny, I pulled a prank on one of the younger supv in my office....
I paged him 867-5309 and watched him from my cube. His pager went off, he gazed at it with a puzzled look, then dialed the number. He got a busy signal. After a minute or so, he calls it back, same thing...busy signal. Finally he tried a third time, same result...busy signal. He gets pissed and slams the phone down. I said in an innocent voice, what's up dude? He told me he got a page and everytime he tried calling it, he would get a busy signal. He was pissed because someone paged him and they "wouldn't get off the fucking phone". I asked him what number it was and he said, "8-6-7-5"...I chime in <singing>"3-Oooh-Ni-eee-nine". He turned red, threw his stapler at me. I dodged, I laughed at his ass. I still chuckle to this day.
