A Poem for March...
He walks across the tundra

Heedless of what lies beneath

His words are written on her soul

She remembers them all, even the hard ones,

He pauses and looks about

Something echoes in his mind,

But he can scarcely recall now

Her voice is so faint

The rock tilts up at him

But he just kicks it away…

He doesn’t hear her cry as he walks on …

While the permafrost bleeds………

2. My dear TOhioLiberal...
Thank you...

This was a recent composition of mine...

I was trying to show how sorrow is like permafrost, right under the tundra...

And this is how the words came out.

3. Your structure isn't like hers
But have you ever read Sylvia Plath?

4. My dear JackBeck......
I actually haven't....

But I keep hearing that I should!

What did you think of my little work?

And, BTW, I am not in the same place psychologically that she was!

7. Clearly, I know you're not
but her angst and ennui is notable.

5. I really like this part
"His words are written on her soul

She remembers them all, even the hard ones,"

Mournful but yet beautiful in it's truth. The hard ones are often the ones that leave the permanent marks.
