Chez trof ce soir: Boneless chicken stuffed with shrimp & rice.
It's a Cajun thang.
They completely bone (DE-bone?) a whole chicken and then stuff it with a variety of fillings.
This one is shrimp and rice.
About an hour in a 350 oven from frozen to done.
yummo
<hee>

What's for dinner at your house?

1. Mochi chicken and rice.
I marinate the chicken in ponzu and vinegar, then dredge it in mochi flour. Then bake. :9

4. Sure
Ponzu shoyu is a citrus-based sauce mixed with soy sauce.

Mochi is a type of rice and is also a rice-based yummy snack. See http://www.japan-guide.com/e/e2043.html Mochi flour is ground-up mochi rice.

8. Thanks. Guess I'd have to try and get it online.
Nothing like that down here on the Redneck Riviera.

9. They sell ponzu and mochi flour at Safeway, Fred Meyer, etc.
Check the expiration dates though.

6. I'm not having dinner -- too stuffed, after sampling goodies ...
... at my friends' house. I just dropped by to return some borrowed books, and over the next 3 hours I watched them make butter (from cream, in a food processor) -- bake bread -- clean and fillet a large salmon -- and start a new batch of natural yogurt. (I normally don't eat unflavored yogurt, but the stuff they gave me from the last batch was amazingly good.) So I am just too filled with homemade bread and butter, baked salmon with jalapeno mayonnaise, etc., to feel like eating anything right now.

10. We did the family birthday dinner thing
at Maggiano's Little Italy in Bridgewater, NJ - the food was great, the service from our waiter even better.

Yes, it's a chain of Italian restaurants, but at least it wasn't The Olive Garden.
