Please, DU me!
And by that I mean I'm in desperate need of some DU therapy/cleansing/etc

A long, long time ago (5 minutes ago)...

I come back to office from lunch, salad and yummy soup in hand, eager to consume, enjoying the weather (sunny and in the 40s), and what do I see?

A car, parked in a handicap spot 2 rows in front of me, the back of which is covered in the most vile and hateful and vicious bumperstickers I have ever seen. I have never seen this car at the office, and I hope never to again. There were ones that said "I think, therefore I'm pro-life", "You can't be both Catholic and pro-choice", and various other B***/pro-life vomit-inducing crap.

:puke: :puke: :puke:

So please...I'm in need of some DU therapy... I need to know not everyone out there in the world is so hateful... :scared:

3. How is being pro-life "hateful"? It's just a differnt point of view.
In my opinion, neither the pro-life or pro-choice arguments are "hateful". Both sides feel they are considering the protection of someone's life...either the baby or the mother. :hi:

5. "I think, therefore I'm pro-life"
isn't a reasoned argument, and implies that pro-choice people are unthinking idiots.

7. I still don't consider that "hateful". Just dumb and mildly offensive.
Not everyone thinks the same way. If I have a bumper sticker that says "I think...therfore I'm a liberal" I wouldn't consider that vile or hateful.

Both camps on both side of the abortion issue need to chill the fuck out. Sorry.

6. The sticker comes off very "if you choose to have an abortion, you're going to hell..."
In other words, this person is probably a fundie, and not a nice one. :scared:

9. I thought it came off as "the Catholic religion doesn't support
abortion". To me, it's just a statement of opinion. If they wanted to be truly hateful, they could put on a sticker that says "Women who have abortions are all going to hell!". Now that's hateful.

11. They probably would if they made one...of if they will...
oy. Who knows, maybe it doesn't. But it just disturbs me.... That and I have a friend who is Catholic and pro-choice. But...whatever. I will stay far away from that person...

I think I'll finish my lunch now. :hi:

4. Let it go
whatever you say, that driver is not likely to vote for a Democrat. Maybe not even a Repug, if they nominate Giuliani or McCain.
