John Mayer: Gravity
What does this song mean?

Just wonderin what everyone's take on the song is....

Lyrics:

Gravity
Is working against me
And gravity
Wants to bring me down

I'll never know what makes this man
With all the love that his heart can stand
Dream of ways to throw it all away

Gravity
Is working against me
And gravity
Wants to bring me down

Twice as much ain't twice as good
And can't sustain like one-half could
It's wanting more that's gonna send me to my knees

Gravity
Stay the hell away from me
Gravity
Has taken better men than me
Now how can that be?
Just keep me where the light is
Keep me where the light is

1. He was interviewed in NPR the other day
He said that he doesn't want to end up as a "True Hollywood Story". He wants to stay grounded and dealing with the important stuff, not the glitz. I don't know how this meshes (or doesn't) with the lyrics, but that's his take.
