Who's seen it? Is it as good as the show? Thinking of going to see it this afternoon.

5. I read... (POSSIBLE SPOILER, but not really)
...that there's a scene which reunites all 11 original members of The State for the first time since the MTV show ended.

It was an MTV show? I only know it from Comedy Central.

"The State," a sketch comedy show that aired on MTV from 1993-1995. Several of the "Reno" cast are from this troupe.

I like Reno 911 but The State was unwatchable. There WAS a great history to it but the last group just let it die. Alan King memorably announced that thankfully their run of specials on CBS (30 years or so) was over now here is Sonic Youth!!!!

11. We saw it last weekend
I watch the TV version occassionally. Good enough to spend eight bucks on a Saturday night.

14. Even better at six bucks on a Sunday afternoon.
We'll all have to do a weekend check-in and share our thoughts.

13. I'm gonna go next week.
I'm on vacation next week, so I'm going to "visit Los Angeles". This will be my first "trip to Los Angeles" since I moved here 7 years ago. I hope Ti-Ti is in the movie.

15. Saw it last weekend - hilarious, but...
It's really just a longer, uncensored version of the TV show. If you're down with that, head to the theater ASAP.

18. It had its moments, but felt like it was an hour and a half long episode.
Don't get me wrong, I love the show, but I think they spent too much time trying to make it like the show and not enough like a stand-alone film.
