5. I considered excluding vodka from this poll, because
I know many people keep it in the freezer, and probably most of those voting would have stuff other than vodka.

9. unless you like it on ice, no, I don't think so
Edited on Tue Mar-06-07 11:10 PM by bertha katzenengel
Mrs. V. is quite fond of Macallan's scotch. She'd smack me if I suggested we put it in the fridge or she drink it over ice.

Me, I think it tastes like turpentine. Probably burns hotter than turpentine...

Mine is tequila. Lately, neat. Easier to use as cough medicine that way. You can't be running to slice a lime when you're hacking up a lung.

Seriously. It's just sitting by my feet next to my computer chair. It's always there. I'll go through a fifth in two weeks just casually drinking it. Sometimes I'll drink most of it in a night, those are amusing. No special place, certainly not hidden.

the wine in racks...although our kids are getting a little older it's probably time to invest in a locked cabinet. Not that I don't trust them, I'd just rather be safe than sorry. We have an assortment of "puckers" that are just too much like Kool-Aid.

32. I'm in the booze business - my house is full of the stuff
I have a room downstairs that stays at a very consistent temp of around 50 to 55 degrees - perfect for storing wine so that's my wine cellar. I have a cabinet down there where I keep extra bottles of booze - the open bottles are upstairs sitting on the floor near my refrigerator - except for the vodka and tequila in the freezer.

And no, I'm not a drunk - I hardly ever drink (which is why I have about 125 bottles of wine - people keep giving them to me).

Edited on Wed Mar-07-07 02:40 PM by Rabrrrrrr
so the overflow goes in the pantry.

My dedicated cabinet is just the shelves above the stove, and only holds maybe 15-20 bottles.

The wine, of course, is in the wine rack.

Am I odd because I like my Grey Goose neat and warm?

And my alcohol is in a locking cabinet in my kitchen. With three kidlets in my home, one of whom is a curious pre-teen with a bad habit of caving to her friends peer pressure, the lock seemed like a good idea.

It works because it keeps it all somewhere I can find it. Especially if I've had a couple and want one more. No, that's a joke. We don't do much hard-liquor drinking, but some friends do, so we keep it around. ;-)
